This project develops a rapid diagnostic tool for detecting pathogens related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease using CRISPR-Cas technology. By streamlining the workflow into a single-step protocol, it aims to enhance accuracy and accessibility in point-of-care settings.
Monitoring of human health and the prevention/treatment of (infectious) diseases strongly depend on accurate and efficient detection, identification and tracking of pathogens or biomarkers.
